Mia Guerra is an experienced attorney with over a decade of legal experience representing clients across Texas in both state and federal courts. Before joining George P. Escobedo & Associates, she served as a prosecutor before transitioning into private practice, where she built a broad legal background handling criminal defense, family law, personal injury, breach of contract, and civil litigation matters.
Today, Mia focuses on representing injured workers under the Defense Base Act, advocating for civilian contractors who have suffered injuries while working overseas in support of the United States government. She understands the unique legal challenges these cases present and is committed to helping clients navigate the federal claims process while pursuing the compensation and benefits they deserve.

Mia earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in English before obtaining her Juris Doctor. She is licensed to practice law in Texas as well as in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
